"Where do babies come through?" - Illustrations of the births
These are some illustrations I created to represent water and squatting births.
They were created in a way that I could later add some subtle movements to the characters.

In this background the use of cooler colors was chose to make the C-section less attractive because, although it is a very common practice in Brazil, experts say that this option should be taken only in cases where vaginal delivery is not possible.

"Where do babies come through?" - Bakgrounds 1
Most of the movie "Where do babies come through?" takes place in different rooms of the Maria Eduarda's house. Than all the following backgrounds have similarities in color palettes and design.
The living room and the nursery:
The first two scenes of the film take place in the living room and in the nursery. The transition from one scene to the other was used to show the change in the house upon the arrival of the new baby and the surprise of Maria Eduarda with the news.

Parent's bedroom:
In the final scene the camera moves away from the mother with the newborn baby, through the door, revealing Maria Eduarda observing the scene. For it was necessary to create the door wall on a different layer.

"Why was I born this color?" - family photos
In a older post I said that some backgrounds were used to create "Photographs". Besides these photographs based on scenes, the film will present several others.
In this post I show how was the creation of these photographs illustrations.
At the left you can see the draft with the layout marks and at the right the result after the paint (not yet cropped according to the layout)

No cenário abaixo a água não apresenta detalhes, pois eles serão acrescentados na animação.

Nas imagens que seguem você pode perceber que o cenário foi expandido para baixo porque ele também será utilizado mais a frente no filme para representar uma fotografia que no caso terá um enquadramento menos horizontal.

O cenário abaixo também será usado para representar uma fotografia, assim a borda vermelha representa o enquadramento da animação e a borda azul, o enquadramento da fotografia.

Começarei a falar hoje do desenvolvimento visual do filme "Por que eu nasci dessa cor?" que também estou dirigindo, juntamente com Fabiano Bomfim, pelo Universidade das Crianças.
